If you have ever needed to extend the length of your earphone, headphone or speaker system, then you will need a cable that has 3.5mm male plug on one end and a female 3.5mm jack on the other end. This size audio plug and jack combination will enable you to extend the length based on which extension cable you purchase.
The 3.5mm plug is also commonly referred to as a Sub-Miniature Plug or 1/8-inch audio plug. The Male end is the one that plugs into the earphone or headphone jack of your audio equipment. The female end of the extension cord will accept your earphone or speaker plug.
Our Audio Extension Cables are great for lengthening your headphones and earphones to reach a computer jack, TV set or DVD Player. Compatible with iPod®, iPad®, and iPhone® jack and works with most computers and audio equipment.
Most of the time, these extensions will work with Stereo and Mono devices because the plug tip and ring mates up appropriately inside the audio plug and jack the same way on both ends of the extension. So if you have a mono earphone and want to extend that to plug into a mono audio device (such as a transcription recorder or walkie talkie) it should be just fine.
This extension is not recommended for extending earphones with a 4-conductor plug.
