Foam Microphone Windscreens

Windscreens are used to cover microphones and reduce the noise buffeted by wind or vocal plosives from consonants such as "P", "B", etc. Most microphones come with a windscreen around the microphone diaphragm. A microphone windscreen protects the mike and helps prevent the pop when speaking into the microphone.

Microphone Windscreens are sized to fit different sizes and styles of microphones. Headset mikes and Lapel Microphones usually have a smaller diameter and the depth requirement is much less than Podium Microphones and Stage Microphones. Microphone Windscreens are also used on Pick-up Microphones for Musical Instruments, such as Guitars and Drums.
