Measure and Replace Your 70mm Size Headphone and Headset Foam Earpads
Begin by Measuring the size of your earpiece from edge to edge so you know the diameter
The 70mm foam earpads are approximately 2 3/4 inches when measuring them from edge to edge. Obviously, the inside opening of the earpad will be smaller, so that it stretches around the earpiece outer edges. Here are the earpiece diameter ranges:
- INCH MEASUREMENT: The 70mm Foam Earpads will fit onto an earpiece between 2 3/16 inches and 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
- METRIC MEASUREMENT: That size expressed in metric would be between 55mm and 63mm in diameter
If your earpiece is oval shaped, there are a couple ways to measure the average diameter. You can wrap a string or thin strip of paper around the outer edge of the earpiece, then make a mark on the string to show where the end of the string meets the other end of the string (or paper). Then measure that distance on the string (or paper). That length will be the earpiece diameter. After you know the circumference, you can divide that number by pi (the number 3.14) so you will know the earpiece diameter. If the diameter is between 2 3/16 inches and 2 1/2 inches, then the 70mm Earpad should fit your headphone. Click Here for a table of all the size info.
