Replacement 50mm Sized Leatherette Cushions for Headphones and Headsets
Measure the size of your earpiece from edge to edge to determine the headphone diameter
The 50mm Leatherette Cushions are approximately 50mm (2 inches) across the diameter of the Cushion. They will fit onto an earpiece that is smaller than 50mm, between 39mm and 48mm (1 9/16 and 1 ⅞ inches). That's why you need to measure your earpiece size.
Instructions on how to determine the diameter by measuring the earpiece circumference:
- Remove the existing cushion from your headphone or headset, so you can see the part of the earpiece that your cushion will wrap around.
- Cut a thin strip of paper and wrap it around the outer edge of your earpiece, marking the paper at the point where it wraps around and meets the other end.
- Measure the length of that paper strip with an inch or centimeter ruler; That will be the circumference.
- Divide the circumference by 3.14 (known as "PI". So if you measured 5 ½ inches, for example you divide 5.5 by 3.14 and the result will be 1.75 inches. That is the decimal equivalent to 1 ¾ inches; That is the average diameter. Use the diameter to decide which cushion will fit onto your earpiece.
The 50mm Leatherette Cushions (see below) will fit onto an earpiece that is between 1 1/2 inches and 1 7/8 inches in diameter (or between 39mm and 48mm if you measured using a millimeter ruler).
